Free Space
amazing
in this tiny place
enormous emotions
the stimulation is small
home is all we are
where nothing can touch us
safe
still we twitch
wage battles
wound one another
cry hysterically
when the chaos butterfly
flaps its wings indoors
the storm concentrates,
inescapable.
Last line: AMAZING!!

It seems perhaps you and I are experiencing some similar thoughts. Much of this is harder than expected, but who ever expected it!? What’s going on? Is this even real? When will it end? Will it end? Are we on the brink of calamitous change? The rain still falls, the sun still shines and children still laugh though — so maybe we just have to slog through. I don’t know.
Thank you for your, as always, well crafted and poignant poetry. You cause me to pause, reflect and ponder, each of which stabilizes me in different ways. I think of you often and hope you are navigating these waters reasonably well. I always always hold you in high esteem.
