Phases
I haven’t been writing.
I’ve been fixing up the house.
I only write a little at night
Or when I must.
We go through phases
Like the moon,
Like teenagers.
It seems we can only improve ourselves
In one aspect of our lives at a time.
I want to fix everything.
Fix my health, my house, my job,
Keep up with friends,
Achieve sublime spiritual happiness,
All while writing three books at once
I want it all.
Ah, but we can’t have everything we want.
We are bound by the confines
Of our too-human bodies
And time itself.
Limitations are always such a bitch! But you seem to have stuff moving forward and the right attitude and that’s more than half the battle! Mona

Lol, is that how it sounds? Ambition is one thing… Reality is another…

Well done for finding time for three different books – sounds rather too daunting for me! x

Yeah, see, that’s the thing, I DON’T find time. I just want them to happen. And instead I find myself fixing the closet doorknob or something

Shame, but we just can’t do everything. Balance is the key!

Very true! Sometimes it seems like balance is more constant correction than actual peace…
