Our deadline
Humans shine brightest under pressure.
It’s not until we have a deadline
That we pick up our feet
It’s not until we get cancer
That we start to live
Maybe
When the world is on the brink of dying
When the atmosphere is choking us
When the plants wither
When disease blooms
When we are all facing starvation
Then we will rediscover world peace
True stewardship
And the meaning of community.
We will see our clear place in the world
Through dying eyes.
Perspective will heal our greed
For one last generation.
i finally started reading THE TURNING (in my defense, i have trouble reading online) and it is awesome. i am loving it!

Thank you for the feedback, too. I'll have to look into print options. Several people have complained about digital being the only option

especially if you put a half-dressed woman in need of rescuing by a muscle-y hero on the cover (i was actually thinking about doing that when my once & future editor asked what of my art i wanted for the cover of my collection) ha!

Bahaha, I love the idea of the bare chested romance cover, but you gotta prepare your audience for what they’re about to read… if they’re expecting something else they’ll get cranky and give bad reviews, lol
I really do need to re-do my cover. A friend did the art for me back before I didn’t know anything about digital art. She did a great job but I don’t think it quite captures the mood and style of the book.
