Dip into creativity
A deep black well
Creatures run deep
Under the glassy still water.
Just a cup is all you need
Look close and see
Tadpoles, minnows, miraculous life
Crayfish, seaweed, plankton, krill.
Swirling alive
Unfathomable life.
Sometimes you can catch a big fish
But content yourself with minnows.
Even these
Some cannot catch.
Even these are a boon.
Lucky, lucky, lucky.

Lovely way to express an important…well, actually a KEY truth of creativity. So much, so much trouble is created by unrealistic expectations, right?
This is a topic I’ve been coming very close to obsessing on recently. So any ideas about how to speak in your own authentic voice? How to get the pollution out of it that comes naturally to us humans — the pollution Oscar Wilde was talking about when he said:
“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”
You’re one of the more creative, authentic artists on the net that I’ve come across, Sarah. So I demand wisdom! Fork it over! Or the law suites will follow!
I know a lot, but I don’t know everything. Any ideas? Anything would help and even be appreciated. But seriously, no obligation to respond. Just curious really whether you have any thoughts on the matter.

It’s odd to me that you, who has such a strong unique voice, would ask this question.

I agree I already know a wee bit about it. But you see, I learned much of what little I know by pestering a few people — people like you — insufferably pestering them for their views. until they told me cool and insightful stuff in order to get rid of me.. I’m fun like that! 😀
