The Human Trap
Something about the coziness of a sleeping cat is sacred
And must not be disturbed.
They get miffed if you have the gall to wake them up,
Because they know the natural order of things.
I can wake a human with cold conscience
But a cat?
Curled into a warm ball,
Melted into my lap,
With an upturned happy little cat smile.
Impossible.
I’ll just have to stay here forever.
Nothing is as important
As letting the cat sleep.
OH! Big AMEN, there. A sleeping cat can calm the Universe. I’ve awoken in the middle of the night from a bad dream and seeing my cat still asleep…washes all the bad away & I can return to sleep.
I’ve fallen asleep watching one groom. It’s like meditation.
Nice to know I’m not alone. ❤

I think all animals are always in perfect meditation, that’s why they’re so soothing and entrancing to watch ❤

So when cat Birdie is hissing at dog Bud, who is barking at her, and I’m caught between them, this is zen?

Haha, yep! You’re the only one who doesn’t feel it!

Cats and their insufferable conceit!

Very true. My 3 cats are never conscious of anything whilst asleep, even my labrador may occasionally sit on them and it still doesn’t make them instantly wake. Cats are great

I like it when my big fat cat lays his big floppy belly over the smaller one’s head, it happens a lot and I’m not sure how she can breathe under there
but she just sleeps through it.

If they were people they’d be impossible to deal with, it’s their biggest saving grace that they’re so irresistibly adorable!
