Inktober – On Time p3
I’m just so excited to actually be making a comic. This never happens! It’s kind of a breakthrough for me. I haven’t seriously drawn anything more than one page before. Learning lots, and taking any inked pages I can get.
I think I’ll do some washes to shade it after I finish all the panels. That’ll be fun.
On an unrelated note, I watched Vampire’s Kiss tonight. What a ridiculous and hilarious and wonderful and terrible movie. Nicolas Cage is really… something else.
Awesome illustrations

Hooked on the story…
Seriously, you could work for Marvel. I say that because I went to HS with a guy named Jeff Parker. He drew the schools comic strip for the newspaper and did some drawing for me when we were in Graphics class together (my senior year, his junior). He works for Marvel:

Ohhhh, I’ve got a long way to go to even touch Marvel-level comics… maybe after like, five years of practice… maybe. Those folks are waaay out of my current league. I hope to match them one day though!
That’s so cool about Jeff Parker! At first I thought you meant he did your Graphics homework for you! š What did he draw for you?

You are closer than you think.
I printed out notepaper with a faded design in the background. It is a sideshot of a woman with flowing hair. I gave him my Xanadu album and I said “Draw me a muse”. He did. I wish I had kept all of that stuff. That was from 1983-1984…
Jeff assisted all of us. He was clearly extremely gifted.
So. Are. You.
