Zen Waterfall
Electronic waterfall.
Zen you can buy.
Tiny.
Tinkling of elf bells.
Chinese water torture.
Tickling trickling.
Unwavering, relentless.
Uncomfortable.
Wetly cold.
Miniaturized peace.
Better than nothing.
Inconstant creek
Sun warmed
Life leaves ripples in the sound.
The water cavitates
Deeper bubbles.
Little granite cave
Darker tone.
Weighty cascade
Runs over boulders
As it pleases or not at all.
Alive.
About as big of a difference as between the sound of rain and a sprinkler system.
A few miles north of me is an artist who creates sculptures that are fountains. Trickle fountains. He makes hollow tubes in all shapes and sizes, then runs trickling water through them. They all but sing.

I’ve only visited his studio once, years ago. But it was so soothing and musical. I wanted to stay all day.

Oh, oh, I don’t know… You did that all wrong… You broke the hard and fast rules for poetry 😉
Actually it was really cute

I’m just teasing. The joke is that there are no rules to poetry. Anytime someone tries to make rules, the poets all break it and go YOU CAN’T PUT WALLS AROUND MY ART! I liked your poem ❤

hahaha yeah I figured there weren’t really any rules for poetry, because it would be too confining!! I’m just a poetry virgin so I wasn’t confident 😉 lol! I wonder if I could do a haiku, because that type *does* have rules, right? Somethin’ about…syllables…hngh

Right, the rules for haiku are as follows:
5 syllables
7 syllables
5 syllables
or else you can do
3 syllables
5 syllables
5 syllables
I’ve seen people do 4/6/4 but they’re absolute maniacs!
Make sure to include seasonal nature imagery and never mention individuality, or else make sure it’s very personal and emotional and individual, or whatever, none of that, nobody really cares anyway.

Hahaha those 4/6/4 people are such insane rebels! Cool, maybe one day I will try one 😀 but I’ll be sure to follow those rules, and definitely do 5/7/5 or 3/5/5!! ;D
